My family first found our way to Cape San Blas in 2005, looking for an escape from the busier Florida holiday hubs. A place to reconnect with nature and family, to truly enjoy the splendor of the Gulf Coast.
Today, that quiet tranquility of Florida’s Forgotten Coast still remains, waiting for you to experience its unforgettable sunsets and endless white-sand beaches.

Fun, shallow-water scallop hunting (only in June-September)
St. Joe Beach features a boardwalk and gentle swimming in the bay
Upscale your beach excursion with guided rides along the shoreline
Charter a boat for inshore/offshore fishing and sightseeing, plus book kayak ecotours
Run, walk, or bike the 9-mile paved trail from the Cape to Salinas Park
Scenic walking & biking paths along the waterfront
Local favorites for all tastes, like Indian Pass Raw Bar, White Marlin, and more
Find antique shops, local boutiques, and Sugar Shack ice cream
Enjoy quiet evenings by the fire listening to the waves, and keep an eye out for shooting stars
Fresh Gulf oysters, raw bars, bay-view sushi, and laid-back grills
Curious what else is close by? Cape San Blas’s position on the panhandle means you’re never far from sweet seaside towns, exciting nightlife, or other beach adventures.
A scenic barrier island known for uncrowded beaches, a historic lighthouse, and laid-back oyster bard. Great for biking and shelling.
A charming coastal town with rich maritime history, boutique shops, seafood shacks, and beautiful antebellum architecture.
Just a short drive away, this quiet beach town offers stunning turquoise waters, waterfront restaurants, and fishing off the pier.
Upscale and walkable, this seaside town has cobblestone streets, boutique shopping, cafes and a stunning European-style town square right on the beach.
Famous for its pastel beach homes and as the filming location of 'The Truman Show,' this idyllic town is perfect for strolling, dining, and bustling farmer's markets.
A lively day trip here could include shopping, boat tours, waterparks, and nightlife. Find dolphin cruises, aquariums, and Pier Park shopping here too!
Hike, snorkel, fish, or simply take in some of the tallest dunes in Florida among pristine wildlife. Beautiful kayaking in the bay for water-sport enthusiasts.
The European explorers who first walked along this unspoiled coast likely experience the healing power of the sand and sea. They chose to name the Cape after Saint Blaise of Sebastea, a Turkish medical doctor and bishop who was nicknamed “the physician of souls.”
Saint Blaise was globally revered for his “miracles of healing” and remains recognized by countries all over the world to this day. He championed rest from work and the healing properties of water. A memory of Saint Blaise’s name is still whispered in the modern day iteration of the Cape, now dubbed Cape San Blas.
